Cusset. Blood donors always on the go. The last blood day, organized by the association of voluntary blood donors of Cusset, with the French Blood Establishment (EFS), was once again crowned with success, thanks to the generosity of the donors.
One hundred and eight people, including two new donors, came to reach out. Jérôme, a loyal donor, accustomed to taking part in collections in Cusset, appreciated, as always, the restorative snack offered by the Cusset association.
Blood donor for more than twenty years, he has more than forty donations to his credit. He also happens to overlook his vacation spot. For him, it is a completely normal and particularly useful gesture. He had stopped for a few years due to health problems. It was his mother’s illness, who was hospitalized and needed transfusions, which prompted him to take part in blood drives again.
Coming after work, he appreciates the principle of making appointments from now on, “which considerably reduces the waiting time”, he says. Especially since the organizers also accept people coming without an appointment, but who will have to wait a little longer.
