There are regular and almost passionate donors like Philippe Légaz, 67 years old. He started donating blood when he was 18. He explains with a smile: “JI’m on my 503rd donation. In litres? Must make a barrel of Burgundy.“
When she turned 18, a teacher took her class to a testing center. Then her sister had an accident”we had the same blood type and I saw a cover with my initials on it. So I told myself that my blood had saved my sister. As a motivation we don’t do any better and then, before every blood donation, there is a medical examination and the blood samples are analysed. If there were any health problems, I would be informed immediately and, above all, my blood saves lives”.
But that’s not enough. So Philippe Légaz also wants to set an example and also testify so that new donors pass through the doors of the Red Cross centers.
