Donating blood is a simple gesture that helps treat a million patients each year in France. “To give blood is to offer life”, indicates theEFS (French Blood Establishment).
In Villeparisis, collection is set for Friday, February 12, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Berny leisure center, 61 rue de Ruzé.

If you are between 18 and 70 (or 65 for a first donation), weigh over 50 kg and are in good health, you can donate blood! The collection takes place in four stages. The administrative registration allows to collect the information necessary to constitute the donor’s file (to bring an identity document). The (confidential) medical interview seeks to detect possible risks of contact with a virus or bacteria and determines whether the donor can donate blood without risk. For the donation, a test must be carried out to check the hemoglobin level. If the person is fit, the nurse takes a few sample tubes on which to perform analyzes and a bag of approximately 500 ml. After a donation, the donor remains under the watchful eye of EFS staff and a snack is offered to him before leaving the place.
