Every year the month of October is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, the most common cancer in women.

Did you know that more than a third of blood transfusions are intended for people with cancer? The fight against this disease also involves mobilizing everyone to donate blood. This gesture of solidarity contributes
in particular to improve the quality of life of people affected by cancer.

I want to donate blood

To donate blood, you must:

• Be between 18 and 70 years old
• Weigh at least 50kg
• Be recognized as suitable for donation during the pre-donation interview
• Have a photo ID
• Eat beforehand and hydrate well throughout the course.

The stages of blood donation:

• Welcome and registration
• Questionnaire and pre-donation interview
• Sampling (10 min)
• Pause A+ (20 min – collation)

From reception to the A+ break, allow between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Take 1 hour to save 3 lives!
