Hanoi (VNA) – La 13e Red Spring Festival – a campaign of blood donation launched by the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, began on Monday in Hanoi with the goal of receiving 4,000 units of blood until March 7.
Launched in 2008, the party helped address the blood shortage after the Lunar New Year, creating and maintaining the habit of donating blood in early spring. After 13 editions organized in Hanoi, the party collected 85,000 units of blood.
In Hanoi, the collection took place at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (rue Pham Van Bach, district of Câu Giây), at No 26 rue Luong Ngoc Quyên, district of Hoan Kiem, at No 132 Quan Nhan , Thanh Xuan Ward, at No 122 Lane, Duong Lang Street, Dong Da Ward.
The organizing committee prepares the necessary materials and ensures compliance with the preventive measures against COVID-19 recommended by the World Health Organization and the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.
