Mücke (pm). The German Red Cross invites you to the next blood donation event in Nieder-Ohmen. The bloodletting will take place on Thursday, September 26th, from 3:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the village community center, Bahngasse 2. The German Red Cross also says that you can keep an eye on your own health by donating blood regularly, because a health check is carried out each time.
Blood donors also save lives. Donated blood is needed every day to care for patients. You can easily reserve a blood donation appointment online at www.blutspen de.de/termine.
Background: Many patients, for example, are urgently dependent on blood donations to survive in the fight against cancer. Due to the short shelf life of just a few days, empty beds can become a problem when donating blood. Around 15,000 blood donations are needed every day in Germany. A blood donation takes around an hour and 500 milliliters of blood are taken. A healthy body can compensate for the loss of fluid in the short term.
