Modified on 10/14/2021

The transfusion requirements are very critical. Citizens are called upon to massively continue their mobilization in favor of donation. More than ever, dedicate an hour of your time to donate blood.

Friday, October 22, a blood drive is organized in Flers from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Forum.

We count on you. Come with family, friends, colleagues… Thank you for your generosity!

Donors are invited to make an appointment online.

Every donation counts. The needs for transfusions are daily and remain important. Citizens are called upon to massively continue their mobilization in favor of donation. Since the beginning of August, the EFS has observed a marked decrease in the number of visits to collections of around 10%. More than 500 donations per day nationwide are missing.

If you are unable to attend at the last minute, you can cancel or modify your appointment on 02 31 53 53 53 or in the link that you will receive in your confirmation e-mail.

COVID-19

There is no no risk of transmission of Covid 19 by transfusion and all precautionary measures are implemented to avoid the risk of transmission of the virus: making an appointment, wearing a mask compulsory for all, application of the rules of distancing and reinforced hygiene.

The need for blood products remains important.

  • The health pass is not mandatory to go to a collection point.
  • The fact of having been vaccinated against Covid-19 does not constitute a reason for postponing blood donation.

In the vast majority of cases, it is possible to donate blood after an injection of the Covid-19 vaccine, without any postponement period to be observed.

There must be a delay of at least 8 weeks between 2 donations of whole blood. If you have made 4 donations (for women) or 6 donations (for men) in the last 12 months, please check your eligibility for a blood donation by contacting 03.28.54.22.58

You can go to a collection UNLESS :
– You have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 42 days, i.e. 28 days after the onset of symptoms or 14 days after the symptoms disappeared.
– If you are asymptomatic with a positive Covid-19 test, you must wait 14 days from the date of the test.
– If you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of covid-19, you should wait 14 days after the last contact unless the PCR test is negative.

More than ever, devote an hour of your time to donate blood: the reserves are fragile, we are counting on you. Where to donate in France and make an appointment

Thank you for your generosity !
