The “Gastronomic week” takes place until Friday inclusive at the Maison du don of the French Blood Establishment -EFS-, in Montpellier. This is the fourth edition and this week, five “kings of the furnaces” of the association from here The Chefs d’Oc participate.

Gérard Cabiron from the restaurant “Home” in Montpellier, Jacques Mazerand from the restaurant The Mazerand in Lattes, Guillaume Despont from The Bacchus House in Montpellier, Thomas Réa of the brand The Table of Poets also in Montpellier and Carole Soubeiran from Caro’s Bistro in Lunel prepare delicious food for blood, plasma and platelet donors. Small, light dishes as a snack offered by these renowned chefs.
Appointment required
“In Montpellier, we need to take 19 plasma donations, 10 platelet donations and 11 to 12 blood donations every day of the week and two Saturdays a month. It is a permanent challenge, every day, we have to find enough donors to meet these needs, ”reveals Lorraine Meriadec de Byans, doctor at the French Blood Establishment.
To come and give your blood at the Maison du don, you must make an appointment for this Monday until 6.30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
