Blood donation in Katzwinkel: 54 donors came to the Glück-Auf-Halle

News from 03/03/2021

The DRK readiness Katzwinkel had invited again to donate blood. And even the difficult times could not prevent many citizens from providing half a liter of their “lifeblood” free of charge.

Katzwinkel. Everything, of course, under the current hygiene rules. In the end, on-call manager Jens Orthen counted 54 donors in the Glück-Auf-Halle. Three of them had attended a corresponding appointment for the first time, which Daniel Hoffmann, as a representative of the DRK blood donation service in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, was also very pleased with. As a small thank you, all donors received a shopping voucher for the Müller bakery, which will soon also be located in Katzwinkel, a chic coffee mug and a portion of sweets. Seven volunteers from the Katzwinkel Red Cross were on duty.

The next donation date is set for Friday, June 4th, 2021 from 5.30 p.m. “Even then, we are happy about everyone who gives their blood as an expression of real humanity,” Orthen emphasized. (PM)
