DETTINGEN. The survival of accident victims often depends on blood supplies. Many chronically ill and cancer patients also depend on blood transfusions or blood components. The DRK local association in Dettingen, in cooperation with the DRK blood donation service, is offering a blood donation appointment on Tuesday, February 28, from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Schillerhalle in Dettingen.
If you want to donate blood, you have to make an appointment online beforehand. The corresponding website has the address www.blutspende.de/termine. Donations are not possible if you have symptoms of a cold or if you have come into contact with someone who is infected with or suspected of having corona in the last 14 days.
People between the ages of 18 and 72 can donate blood, but first-time donors must not be older than 64 years of age. Important: Bring your ID with you! For legal reasons, only donors whose identity is proven by an official document can be admitted.
