The new year begins in Erbendorf on Tuesday, January 3 with a blood donation appointment at the town hall. Between 15:30 and 20:00, volunteers can donate half a liter of blood. “The reserves of blood preparations ran out earlier than ever this year,” wrote the blood donation service of the Bavarian Red Cross in its invitation to previous donors.
Sven Lehner, watch director of the BRK Erbendorf and responsible for the organization on site, revealed what donors can look forward to this time: “As a small thank you, you will receive a Lindt chocolate bar when you donate blood.” As usual, there will also be a packed lunch from the Schraml bakery. Lehner is hoping for a large turnout, even though many citizens could be on vacation in the first week of January as well. “Due to the many bottlenecks in 2022, I hope that one of the first blood donation appointments in our region will be well received so that we can help patients.” Advance reservation is required.
