The French Blood Establishment of Burgundy-Franche-Comté is offering “exotic” atmospheres in the Donation Houses, from August 12 to 17.
From August 12 to 17, the 8 Maisons du don in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté will be transformed and will transport you for the duration of a blood, plasma or platelet donation. Decoration, music, gourmet snacks… Take advantage of the rhythm of summer to experience a donation… in a different way!
During the summer period, the pace of daily life slows down, as does the mobilization of citizens. A situation which particularly weakens the reserves of blood products, at a time when the needs of patients remain daily.
With the Paris Olympic Games in full swing and attention focused on this major event, the EFS is reminding people of the importance of donating blood, particularly in the middle of summer.
An irreplaceable gesture, to be repeated regularly due to the short life span of blood products (42 days for red blood cells and 7 days for platelets), and which no treatment or medication can replace. So like our athletes, take on new challenges, surpass yourself for the most beautiful medal, the one that saves lives!
The summer season also means public holidays (Thursday, August 15) that need to be compensated for, and the absence of collections in companies or student circles that provide 15 to 20% of annual donations. It is therefore essential to mobilize, in greater numbers and more often, as 600 donations are needed every day in the region.
To renew the donation experience of those who usually reach out and encourage everyone else to do the same, the regional EFS sets up a summer week every year in its Donation Houses. An opportunity to save lives in a relaxed atmosphere and experience a surprising moment!

• in Besançon: snorkel, fish: come and relax under the ocean
• in Chalon: flowers, lanterns, straw: experience the guinguette spirit
• in Dijon: proud of our colours, here France is in the spotlight
• in Mâcon: the Latino spirit, come and vibrate to the rhythm of the guitar and Latino steps
• in Nevers: participate in the event of the year with the passage of the plasmathletic drop
• in Sens: bring your sneakers and a water bottle, because there will be some sport
