Since Wednesday afternoon, the second blood collection campaign of the year in the city organized by the Brotherhood of Donors of Badajoz has been underway. And it does so with new features, since it is being carried out in the San José Health Center and not in San Roque as has been usual in recent years.
This will be the only change, as the campaign will last the usual eight days, starting on August 21 and ending on Friday the 30th. The only thing that is not new for this time of year is the opening hours, which remain between 6:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It is worth remembering that all people over 18 and under 66 years of age, who do not suffer from any illness that prevents donation and who weigh more than 50 kilos, can donate.
The Blood Bank of Extremadura has scheduled a special donation calendar for this month of August in the region, to have blood reserves, since we are in the month of the year in which most car journeys occur due to the holidays and therefore the month that can present a higher accident rate than in other months of the year.
