It’s a first ! The Château du Clos Vougeot hosted this Saturday, April 17 a blood drive organized by the French Blood Establishment (EFS) of Dijon. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 80 donors followed one another in the Cistercian Grand Cellar, currently closed to the public due to health restrictions. The event, to say the least unusual, was sold out as reservations were full within four hours of the opening of registrations. At the end of the session, each donor was assigned a basket filled with regional products offered by “Vive la Bourgogne Franche-Comté”, as well as a bouquet of tulips from Holland, a nod to the Chapter. Tulips, which should have been held in the castle that very evening.
