It is at the Édith-Piaf room that the last blood drive of the year organized by theFrench Blood Establishment (EFS) in the Vimeu was held, in the afternoon of December 21, 2020, at Friville-Escarbotin (Somme).

A success since all the available meeting slots were reserved. Indeed, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, donations can be made by announcing its presence a priori.
Good news according to Jean-Pierre Mabille, president ofAssociation of Volunteer Blood Donors of Vimeu (ADSB), since the needs in red blood cells, plasmas and platelets are still numerous during the end of the year celebrations.
“No more, no less than other periods”, according to the manager. It is therefore essential that donations continue at this end of the year when people can be more focused on the coronavirus and Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Important reminder: if you wish to donate blood during these holidays outside the blood drives organized by ADSB du Vimeu, simply go to the Don House of the ESF, located at 6, place Parmentier in Amiens (Somme).
The Picardy capital, where donations are deposited after their collection at the local level, and more precisely at the former North Amiens hospital. The bags are then transported the same night to Lille (Nord), place of centralization of the ESF Hauts-de-France and Normandy sector.
