The Blood Banks of the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex and the City of Health will be operating on November 2,3,4,5 and 11, during the national holidays, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, reported Anabella Rivera, medical technologist at this health facility.
Technologist Rivera pointed out that generally over the years it has been evident that blood donation decreases during national holidays, which is why the general population is urged to go to the different facilities to carry out this important contribution that can save up to three lives.
We must keep in mind that there are requirements to meet to be able to donate, such as being between 18 and 65 years of age, being in good health, it is not necessary to fast, consume low-fat foods, and having been performed for more than 6 months. a tattoo or piercing.
Men can donate every 3 months and women every 4 months by presenting a document, whether it is an ID, passport or driver’s license. It is also necessary to have the correct information of the person to whom you are going to donate.
