BLOGGERNE SEASON 18: – It’s been a very tough six months

On Monday, January 2, the premiere of the eighteenth season of the Bloggerne reality show airs.

Here we have a reunion with Alexandra Joner (32), Gisle Agledahl (31) and Sara Emilie Tandberg (30).

Apart from these, we get to follow new profiles Linnea Løtvedt (22) and Sofie Karlstad (25), while old acquaintance Marna Haugen (41) returns after four years away from the screen.

– It will be a completely different season. There are no children, just me and my new life, says Marna Haugen to Buonasera Norway.

Since we last saw her in Bloggers, she has become single and moved out on her own. In the process of moving, she brought the camera crew in tow.

– It will be as exciting for me to watch it as it is for the viewers – I don’t know what happens every day, because I always discover new sides of myself.

Haugen says you can expect to see her learn about her new life as a single mother, and suggests there may be some dates along the way, too.

– You can date me and my thoughts and experiences about dating life. I offer a little, she laughs.

– There will be a lot of reflections and experiences – and mistakes, of course, a lot of mistakes.

I think it’s important to show the dark sides

Another profile that can also boast a slightly different season is Sara Emilie Tandberg. She’s had a tough time, which will be visible this season.

– This semester has been very marked by illness. This season is actually very dark and dark for me, she says honestly.

According to Tandberg herself, she won’t be as present on screen these six months.

– This time it was filmed a little less than in the past. But I’m in, she says.

In October, the mom blogger shared with her 362,000 Instagram followers that her son had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

– The camera team is involved, among other things, in my reaction and how everything is handled in connection with my child’s illness. So it was a whole new daily life that we had to adjust to. Plus, all this happened in the midst of a difficult pregnancy, so there are a lot of hormones.

Tandberg believes it’s important to show the darker sides of life as well, and says this was one of the reasons she started with social media: to show a little behind the facade of motherhood.

– I struggled so much with a bad conscience. The whole trip comes out in bloggers and it was a blast. It’s been a very tough six months, admits the 30-year-old.

Showing the girl for the first time

Alexandra Joner admits she has several things she fears about the season starting. She says her mother is very concerned about her health—and maybe a little more about alternative ways to stay healthy.

– So she was finally able to talk me into colonic irrigation after three years of talking about it. That’s probably something I’ll regret when it’s on TV, laughs Joner.

– I’m also afraid to watch Halloween, because then my girlfriend will be there for the first time.

Joner has been with investor Runar Vatne (48) since 2013, but hasn’t shown it in bloggers until now.

– It’s just because this “world” isn’t really “his cup of tea”, and that’s perfectly fine. But on Halloween, not many people recognize it anyway, so it doesn’t really matter, I think, says Joner.

The 32-year-old is used to living a life in the spotlight, unlike her boyfriend, who she actually thinks is kind of adorable.

– It’s great that we are so different that I can afford to shine on my home court, and then he can be allowed to go on with his own thing, he says.

However, there is one thing that bugs her about her camera-shy boyfriend.

– I wish he thought TikTok was as fun as me, so that we could do these “couple challenges” and so on, he laughs.

– I see so much fun on TikTok and think “oh, but I want to do this together”, and he’s so damn uninterested, he complains.

– There will be some “breakdowns”

One of the season’s newcomers, Linnea Løtvedt, says she is excited to see herself on screen.

– I haven’t seen much in person, so I can’t wait to see it, she tells Good Evening Norway.

Løtvedt says she used to follow bloggers when she was young and now it’s great to be able to participate herself.

– I remember dreaming about it when I was about 15 years old.

The 22-year-old is known from TikTok, where she is used to being personal and open about various things.

– There will be some “breakdowns” here and there, which I have been opened and filmed about. It’s probably going to be very personal, which I think is only good, because I think the openness is good no matter what the subject, she says.

Terror, pandemic, war and economic recessions

For Gisle Agledahl, the new season is a lot about “keeping your head above water in a world where things get a little crazy,” she can say.

– The last year has been marked by terror, pandemic, war and economic downturns. So, for example, I “prepared for doomsday” together with Sophie Elise (Isachsen, ed), says Agledahl.

Agledahl says he and Isachsen started with a list that authorities released with an overview of what you should have around your home in case of a disaster.

Also, he can say that he has dabbled in something called “breathing.”

– It’s a breathing technique where you breathe quite heavily. It’s kind of the same method used in trauma therapy, I think.

This can trigger uncontrollable bodily reactions, which is what happened to Agledahl.

– I had a lot of energy afterwards, I felt very good immediately afterwards. Very strange, she says of the experience.

– It probably sounds a bit corny, and I’m afraid to watch it on TV because of the uncontrollable spasms that occurred, she laughs.

Sofia Karlstad

Sofie Karlstad is also a new profile this season and looks forward to followers having the opportunity to get to know her on a deeper level.

– I’m very used to being on reality shows, but there aren’t many people who know me on a deeper level, so maybe that’s what you’ll mostly experience on Blogger, she says.

– I take viewers on highs and lows, drunken parties and whatnot. Very excited about the same drunk parties, that is because I don’t even remember them.

The year was a busy one for Karlstad, who, among other things, attended Farmen and got engaged.

Karlstad says her boyfriend is the complete opposite of her, but that she likes him. They are not currently living together, but the 25-year-old says they are talking about buying an apartment together now that the recessions are in.

– We reflected on the exploitation of the poor market. So we’ll see, if I find an apartment where it’s nice for two to live in, then it’ll be alone, but if I find one where it’s nice for two to live in, then we’ll probably be together, she says.

Bloggerne Season 18 will premiere on TV 2 Play on Monday, January 2, 2023.
