Three years ago, on the occasion of the opening of the international Crypto Finance Conference in St. Moritz, I spoke about the “Crypto Nation Switzerland”. My words went down very well in the hall, but somewhat less so in the media and with my colleagues at the Federal Council. There was even a reprimand from the US Department of Foreign Affairs. In fact, Switzerland has established itself as one of the leading blockchain nations in the world within a very short period of time, and it has one of the most progressive, clearest sets of rules. This allows for innovative business models, products and services in a technologically increasingly decentralized world and thus strengthens Switzerland as a location for business and innovation.
