Blockade Europaboulevard: first activists put on the bus by the police

Dozens of Extincion Rebellion activists have just blocked a busy intersection on Europaboulevard in Buitenveldert. Car traffic can no longer take exit S109 to the A10. Due to the busy morning rush hour, there are traffic jams. Police are present. A spokesperson says that it concerns about 250 activists.

8.45 am: the first activists were taken by the police and put on a bus

8.30 am: GVB buses have arrived to relocate activists

8.00 am: The police are calling for the activists to be ‘administratively relocated’. This often goes one by one, so it may take a while before the intersection is clear again.

Last Friday they did the same a bit further down at the Zuidas and it took them all afternoon before they left there. It took a lot of effort for the police to get rid of some activists because they had chained themselves.

Extincion Rebellion held several campaigns last weekend. There were protests on the Museumplein and on Saturday activists blocked the Blauwbrug at the Stopera.
