BlizzCon is an in-person event that Blizzard has been holding since 2005. It has been held every year except 2006, 2012, and recently had a hiatus due to Covid in 2020, 2021 (then online) and 2022. Today Day 2 of BlizzCon 2023 is underway, and yesterday we learned what big things the developers have in store for Diablo IV. Specifically, they presented a teaser for the first content expansion Vessel of Hatred:
It’s only a teaser, so we won’t know much about it, but some details were released during its presentation at BlizzCon:
will bring a new one unique class playable characters that we have not yet met in the Diablo game series will take place in the jungle It’s a placewhich we already looked at in Diablo II (Act 3) in terms of the story we will learn what happened to Mephistopheles (Prime Evil) Blizzard plans to announce more information in the summer of 2024. You can guess what the new character could be in the discussion. Considering the teaser and the jungle location, something like an Amazon or Witch Doctor is suggested, but it’s been made clear that it will be a completely new type (“completely new class, never seen before in the Diablo universe“), so there are no limits to imagination. You can find the entire presentation here (launch is set to the part about Diablo IV).
