Blizzard accidentally revealed the press packages for BlizzCon 2021 (or BlizzConline, as it is called this year) before the online event. According to the leak, which as of now has not been confirmed as official, the content is mostly about «World of Warcraft: Shadowlands» and «World of Warcraft: Classic», so if you want to avoid spoilers, and would rather wait for the official announcements, then you should stop reading here.
No information has been leaked regarding Blizzard’s other games, but we are crossing our fingers that what is missing concerns Diablo and Overwatch, among others – so we are still looking forward to the event itself.

Shadowlands update
The first major update to “World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” seems to be imminent, and will feature lots of new content, such as brand new raids and dungeons, new cosmetic armor. Part of the content that was leaked was concept drawings that potentially confirm the long-awaited return of Anduin, as well as the ability to fly your walker through the clouds over the realm of the dead.
A new area is also introduced, which involves new assignments and activities. New content is also coming to the covenant factions, and now Kyrian, Night Fae, Necrolords and Venthyr will collaborate to fight with The Jailer.
The huge new dungeon area, containing eight bosses, is introduced in this patch, along with the roguelike-like Torghast (an infinite dungeon) in the form of a new raid that lets you try to get over Sylvanas Windrunner herself. By all accounts, it seems that the content we get in the new update is very extensive, and it should be more than enough here to have your hands full in the time ahead towards the next update, regardless of whether you like to look for new equipment or if one is looking to fight against Azeroth’s greatest villains.
World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic
There has long been talk of launching “World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic”, but the leak from BlizzCon finally confirms that the expansion pack will once again be launched for PC, 14 years after we became acquainted with the original. Anyone who subscribes to the standard edition of “World of Warcraft” can also play “World of Warcraft: Classic” without having to pay anything extra, which means you can play the upcoming “Burning Crusade Classic” package for free (provided you have a regular WoW subscription.)
Before the launch of “Burning Crusade Classic”, “WoW: Classic” players can choose whether they want to transfer all their characters to the “Burning Crusade” era with the rest of the server, or whether they want to continue playing the original “WoW” : Classic »content on Classic Era servers. It is not entirely clear whether this means that one can wait to decide, and jump over to the new content in the long run or not. You can now also play as Blood Elf or Draenei, if you choose to switch to the “Burning Crusade” expansion pack.
BlizzCon 2021, which runs from February 19 to February 20, is an event that will only be available online, and has a main channel for highlights and flashbacks, as well as five other channels that cover “World of Warcraft”, “Hearthstone” , “Diablo,” “Overwatch,” and something Blizzard calls “Strategy,” which seems to be about “StarCraft” and a kind of retrospective behind-the-scenes content.
The entire program for BlizzCon 2021 can be found at the official site. The opening ceremony took place on all the above channels yesterday (Friday 19 February), and the event continues throughout the day.
