Blizzard modifies Zarya in Overwatch for certain references to Russia

Blizzard recently kicked off the Overwatch Anniversary Remix event. Another new opportunity to get new (and old) skins and items in the game, from which you can read more here. However, there is a novelty that Blizzard has not commented on, but that players have noticed.

It has come to light in Reddit, where they comment that the skins/aspects of the Russian Aleksandra “Zarya” Zaryanova, Siberian Front and Arctic Front, have been modified to eliminate the letter “Z” that they had. Actually, the letter is for the character’s name, but in recent weeks it has become a symbol of Russia in the invasion of Ukraine, coming to be compared to the Nazi swastika.

To avoid problems, Blizzard would have made this slight change to the two character skins. You can see the changes below with the images collected from Reddit to see the differences between the old and new versions of Zarya.
