A little overhaul ensures that three classes in WoW: Shadowlands now deal even more damage. We tell you what Blizzard is changing.
With the latest WoW: Shadowlands mini-update, some classes have received a small injection of damage. Above all, the values that were previously fixed by bug fixes have been adjusted and now reduce damage. Three classes are affected by the upgrades.
What classes will be improved? Overall, 4 3-class DPS specs have been slightly improved. Beneficiaries include:
- Hunter (animal dominance and marksmanship)
- Monks (wind runners)
- Warlock (demonology)
What exactly was changed? There are basically only small improvements to individual abilities, which in total will mean a few more DPS. Only warlocks get a direct benefit from everything.
- Hunter
- Animal domination
- Predator Packs now hit secondary targets for 90% of the animal’s damage (was 75%).
- Aim
- Aimed Shot now deals 5% additional damage and Skill Shot causes Aimed Shot or Rapid Shot to jump for 55% damage (was 50%).
- Animal domination
- monk
- Brisaveloz
- Whirling Crane Kick deals 15% more damage (was 10%) for each single target you hit with a Tiger Claw, Blackout Kick, or Rising Sun Kick in the last 20 seconds (was 15 seconds).
- Fixed a bug where the Whirling Crane Kick was not benefiting from the championship.
- Fists of Fury now deals 70% damage to secondary targets (was 50%).
- Brisaveloz
- Magician
- Demonology
- Spell damage and pet damage increased by 3%.
- Demonology
When will this be published? The review is already active at the time of reading this. The update was applied last night with a short reboot of the realms and has been active ever since.

Why did this benefit exist? Basically the hunter and monk buffs shouldn’t create new maximum damage values, but simply reverse a previous damage reduction. Patch 9.0.5 fixed some bugs that caused Monks and Hunters to deal more damage than expected. As it turned out, the classes without these errors were too weak. This review is only intended to ensure that all three classes are back to a similar level as before.
Does your class also benefit from the benefit? Or is Blizzard “totally stupid” again, only upgrading the wrong classes?
