Blizzard introduced Warcraft for mobiles and tablets

As promised, it happened. At seven o’clock in the evening of our time Blizzard has introduced a new game from the world of Warcraft designed for smartphones and tablets.

Warcraft fans were most looking forward to the classic real-time strategy. If you were among them, you will be disappointed. Warcraft Arclight Rumble is a clone of Clash Royale. The free title is described as an action strategy with well-known characters in the form of heroes and villains, which you will collect and fight with them against artificial intelligence and other players in dynamic clashes.

Blizzard promises more than 65 miniatures and Warcraft characters from five playable factions: Alliance, Horde, Beast, Undead and Blackrock.

Developers are preparing several different modes, including massive single player campaigns, tough competition in PvP battles, cooperation and more. Conquest, Dungeons and Raids are promised.

In terms of gameplay, it will be necessary accumulate resources. You will use the gold to strategically place miniatures on the battlefield. You will obtain raw materials passively over time by mining or finding them in treasure chests. On the battlefield, you can use watchtowers and encounter stones to get your heroes closer to the target. The key to victory is to master the map.

In battle, it will be necessary to find a synergy of miniatures that provide various benefits. Flying units face close combat units well, siege units cause additional damage to watchtowers, etc.

A closed beta will be launched soon in select regions. The full version is set for Android and iOS by the end of this year.
