“Overwatch 2”season 7A new control map “SAMOA” will be introduced. The map is set on a tropical island and is divided into three distinct areas: beach, downtown, and industrial facilities (see related article). SAMOA will first be implemented in Quick Play and Unranked modes, and will also be available in Competitive Play later in the season.

Changes will also be made to the existing map “ROUTE 66”. First, cover has been added that gives the defending team an advantage. On the other hand, after reaching the first checkpoint, the door will malfunction and only partially close, giving the attacking team more options to break through the difficult points. At the final checkpoint, some of the containers in the ‘Deadlock Gang’ area will also be removed so that the defending team has more ways to stop the attacking team.

Additionally, the new season will include a collaboration with Diablo 4, which is also produced by Blizzard. The game mode “Trial of Sanctuary” will be implemented during the “Halloween Terror” event, and a co-op survival battle will take place in which you will fight against demons. There are six heroes to choose from: Demon Hunter “Sombra”, Barbarian “Zaria”, Night Raven “Illari”, Cleric “Lifeweaver”, Imperious “Reinhardt”, and Inarius “Farah”. As the boss, Azmodan as Wrecking Ball, Butcher as Roadhog, and Blessed Mother Lilith “Moira” stand in the way.

The effect seems to be the same as the previous ability, making it invisible to the enemy and allowing you to move at high speed. Additionally, the existing ability “Translocator” will now instantly teleport to the location where it is thrown. The stealth cooldown will be reduced after teleporting.

Additionally, Sombra will have a new ability, “Virus.” This ability releases a cube-shaped object that deals continuous damage to the target it hits. If the opponent is already hacked, the damage will be doubled and the speed at which damage will be dealt will increase.
