Blitar – The number of people living with HIV/AIDS (ODHA) in Blitar district from the gay population has increased by 100 percent over the last six months. For this reason, MUI urges the district government to immediately issue an anti-LGBT regulation.
Public Relations of the Blitar Regency MUI, Jamil Mashadi, acknowledged that this phenomenon of sexual orientation deviation is becoming more and more vulgar. The number is increasing.
This social problem seems to be sidelined, especially in this 2023 political year. However, the data has spoken, the presence of this population is the second highest contributor to the increase in HIV/AIDS sufferers.
“We cannot ignore this. Because we do not rule out the possibility that the figures submitted by the Health Office are only the tip of the iceberg. Because this is an aberration that destroys generations of the nation, we urge the Blitar Regency Government to immediately issue a Perbup Anti-LGBT,” Jamil told detikJatim, Wednesday (2/8/2023).
Jamil admitted that currently the international community is intensively campaigning for LGBT on the basis of human rights. However, Jamil believes that human rights that destroy the nation’s generation, let alone violate the teachings of all religions, need no defense. Because if left unchecked, the numbers will increase and the threat of destruction of the next generation will become more real.
“What human rights, when a man is infected with AIDS, then he infects his wife and children. They are innocent but have to suffer the consequences of their father’s sexual orientation. Then the child asks, why should I bear this illness, what was my father’s behavior like before. This really takes away their children’s human rights to live a healthy life,” he said.
The Central MUI has actually issued a fatwa no 67/2014 concerning the prohibition of LGBT. They have also urged the Indonesian Parliament to make regulations limiting this community. However, far from the fire. Because until now, the members of the council and the central government have not budged on the MUI fatwa.
“The government should immediately take steps to protect and protect its citizens. Because it has been proven that LGBT people violate the rules of all religions and Pancasila. They threaten to annihilate the nation’s generation,” he said.
Why did Jamil call it violating Pancasila, he argued, this deviant sexual behavior was clearly not in accordance with the first precept of Belief in One Almighty God. It also violates the second precept, because this deviant sexual behavior dehumanizes humans. LGBT actions are very inhumane and no different from animal behavior.
Then, violating the third precept, because a campaign to support LGBT will divide the opinions of Indonesian children. Because, there must be pros and cons on the basis of human rights. In fact, those who support it need persuasive action by reminding God’s punishment to the Lud people who were destroyed.
“All religious teachings do not permit deviant sexual behavior. God has warned the Lud people by destroying them so that later peoples will no longer imitate them,” he added.
If the Blitar Regency Government immediately issues a Perbup Anti-LGBT, Jamil thinks, it will become a legal umbrella for his party and all stakeholders to campaign Anti-LGBT.
“Russia, the superpower, has banned it, followed by China, which is clearly a communist country but is quick to protect its next generation. So I really hope Anti-LGBT will emerge from Blitar for Indonesia,” he concluded.
