A teacher at Karawang, West Java (West Java), named Eli Chuherli, became blind after being splashed with acid by his business partner. Eli is known to be active teaching at SMKN 2 Karawang.
Reported detikjabar, Wednesday (12/7/2023), a dark event occurred last Tuesday (23/5). Eli recounted the moments his face was splashed with acid.
“I was in the workshop in front of the house at that time, in the morning around 06.30 WIB, I was getting ready to go to school (teaching), he (the perpetrator) came as usual to chat,” said Eli when met by detikJabar at his residence, Tuesday ( 11/7/2023).
The perpetrator, known with the initials AH, came carrying a bottle of milk drink. Not long after, the unexpected happened.
“Not long ago, greeting each other, so in the morning we were chatting normally when I wanted to sit in a chair near him (the perpetrator), why did he suddenly splash my face,” said Eli.
Eli shouted loudly. He felt excruciating pain, especially in the eye area.
“I was shocked, shocked, added to the stinging pain in my eyes, screaming because I couldn’t see anything,” he said.
