tvSamenwonen is no longer new for Jolien De Neve (33) and Brecht Heldenbergh (32), the only couple left from the eighth season of ‘Blind Married’. Now the lovebirds in Zottegem have found their own place to enjoy each other without the cameras.
“We have found our house,” the couple announces on Instagram. They show the proof to their followers with a big smile. The comments under the post quickly fill with well wishes from viewers and former ‘Blind Married’ participants. A “congratulations” from Christiaan from the seventh season, Christophe from the fifth and Candice from the sixth series can be spotted next to reactions from Nuria (season 1), Dziubi (season 7) and Winnie (season 5), among others.

It will not have been an easy job to find a suitable spot. Brecht is a fire brigade, and is therefore not allowed to live further than 15 minutes from the barracks in Dilbeek. This also caused the makers of ‘Blind Married’ a lot of stress earlier this year when they had to find an apartment for each couple. “Even 16 minutes of the barracks was not okay,” the production said.
LOOK. Jolien and Brecht used these false names during the broadcasts: “We once went looking to rent a house, then Brecht said ‘and Justine, what do you think?’”
After the program, the couple bounced between their two apartments in Gooik and Kalken for months. When we spoke to them earlier this month, Jolien and Brecht were still looking for a new home. “We have already seen and visited many potential houses to rent, but the right one has not yet come our way,” Brecht said at the time. “But that will happen in 2024, that is the goal. My grandmother started crying this week just at the thought, because I have always lived next to her as the apple of her eye. But it’s time to leave Gooik, it’s starting to get a bit embarrassing to keep living out of those suitcases.”
Jolien and Brecht have already tasted living together in ‘Blind Married’. That went very well for the two; they never argued once. “I think we will only have differences of opinion when we actually start living together,” Brecht said last week. “But purely about the interior. I like it a bit darker, Jolien doesn’t like that.” “And yet I haven’t changed anything in your apartment yet,” Jolien laughed. “Remarkably enough, I can handle it or something.”
