Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The high price of coal is a blessing for coal companies, including PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG). Throughout last year, ITMG managed to record a net profit that skyrocketed to 1.105% year-on-year (yoy).
The company posted a profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent company of US$ 475.57 million in 2021, a rocket of 1.105% compared to only US$ 39.47 million in 2020.
The profit in 2021 is equivalent to around Rp. 6.8 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 14,300/US dollar).
As a result, basic earnings per share also increased to US$ 0.43 in 2021, from previously US$ 0.04 in 2020.
Over the past year, net income was recorded at US$ 2.08 billion, a significant growth of up to 75.2% compared to US$ 1.18 billion in 2020.
Cost of revenue reached US$ 1.16 billion, up 17.6% compared to US$ 986.19 million in the previous year.
