BLBI Debt Arrears, Texmaco Assets Seized by Mahfud & Sri Mulyani

“Today at 10 am the BLBI Task Force again attempted to confiscate assets from the Texmaco group on 587 plots of land located in 5 regions,” said Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Polhukam) Mahfud MD at a press conference, Thursday (12/23/2021). ).

The five locations in question are Subang, Sukabumi, Tangerang, Batu and Padang. The area of ​​land confiscated reached 4,794,202 m2.

“The seizure was carried out simultaneously in 5 cities and 4 provinces,” he explained.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati added that the involvement of the Texmaco Group began with loans to state-owned banks, such as BRI, Mandiri and BNI as well as several private banks. The total debt is Rp 8,068 T and US$ 1.24 million.

“The debt is stuck when there is a crisis so that when the bank is bailed out by the government, the bank’s claim rights will move to the government,” said Sri Mulyani.

In the process, communication has been carried out repeatedly with the company. However, the government sees no good faith in paying and paying off. So the government took confiscation steps.

“The government has provided an opportunity so that the company can run but there is no sign of wanting to pay,” he said.

The following is a list of Texmaco assets seized by the government:

a. Kadawung Subdistrict (Cipeundeuy Subdistrict), Siluman Subdistrict (Pabuaran Subdistrict), and Karangmukti Subdistrict (Cipeundeuy Subdistrict), Subang Regency, West Java a total of 519 plots of land with an area of ​​3,333,771 m2.

b. Loji Village, Pelabuhan Ratu District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java with 54 plots of land with an area of ​​1,248,885 m2.

c. Bendan, Sapuro, and Krapyak Kidul sub-districts, West Pekalongan and East Pekalongan sub-districts, Pekalongan City, Central Java, totaling 3 plots of land with an area of ​​2,956 m2.

d. Pesanggrahan Village, Batu District, Batu City, East Java with a total of 10 plots of land covering an area of ​​83,230 m2.

e. Lubuk Kilangan Village, Padang City, West Sumatra with 1 plot of land with an area of ​​125,360 m2.
