Kerala Blasters are undefeated in the ISL with their eighth consecutive victory. Kochi defeated Jamshedpur by three goals to one at Kalur International Stadium. Apostolos Giano, Dimitrios Diamanticos and Adrian Luna scored for Kerala. Nigerian player Daniel Cheema returned the goal for Jamshedpur.
The Blasters, who were on at home, managed to take the lead early. The first half witnessed constant attacks from Blasters. Kerala took the lead in the 9th minute of the match through Apostolos Gianov. Jamshedpur responded in the 17th minute without allowing Kerala to take the lead. Daniel Cheema scored.
Dimitrios capitalized on a 31st-minute penalty to give Kerala a 2–1 lead. After finishing the first half with no change in goal scoring, Kerala came out with a change in the second half as captain Jasal was replaced by Nishu Kumar. In the 65th minute of the second half, Adrian Luna scored Kerala’s goal for the set. Despite attempts to counter-attack, Jamshedpur’s advances were limited to a few counter-attacks. For Kerala to climb to third position in the league with the win.
