Blake Lively has taken to Instagram at an Australian gossip site that has published photos of her three children. The A Simple Favoractress says she is disgusted by the far-reaching practices of the paparazzi who work for such media.
The wife of Ryan Reynolds has made an urgent appeal on Instagram to the Daily Mail, a British daily newspaper that also has an Australian branch online. This in response to an incident with a paparazzo from that site that recently took place.
Lively writes that the photographer stalked her three children – James (6), Inez (4) and Betty (1) – in order to take pictures of them. “They were followed all day by a man who kept hiding and jumping out“, she writes as a rightly concerned mother on Instagram.
According to the actress, bystanders were so shocked by the photographer’s behavior that they spoke to him about it, but without success. “I also tried to talk to him myself, but when I approached him, he quickly ran awayshe explains.
Lively is also angry with the editors of Daily Mail, who not only put the photos online, but also edited them. “Do you really think this is normal? Don’t you care at all about the safety of children?‘ she wonders aloud in her message.
According to Lively, nobody really wants such photos; neither do the readers of that site. “Your audience also understands that it is cruel and disturbing to pay grown men to stalk children‘ she tosses the medium.
The Hollywood star has a clear and urgent appeal to the Daily Mail. “Stop this. Go with the times. Delete the photos“, she admonishes the editors. “There are probably plenty of photos you could have published that don’t include the kids“.
Especially the latter is not comfortable for Likely. She says that she has been able to make good agreements with other paparazzi about portraying her children. “They leave my kids alone when I pose for them‘, she tells the Daily Mail.
