Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s dispute puts ‘It Ends With Us’ sequel at risk

Blake Lively y Justin Baldoniprotagonists of the film It Ends With Usare in a dispute over alleged issues of hostility on the part of Baldoni towards the rest of the cast, as it seems that everything began when he was not photographed with his colleagues during the premiere that took place on August 6 in New York.

This friction between both actors could be an obstacle for the public to enjoy the sequel titled It Starts With Us.

Another of the possible causes that the fan public has pointed out for this tension is that with the exception of Hasan Minhaj, none of his castmates follow Baldoni in Instagram.

On the other hand, what seems to be the straw that broke the camel’s back in this situation was that the final part of the film that was seen in theaters was the one that Blake Lively proposed, leaving out Baldoni’s proposal.

Some screenwriters even claim that Ryan Reynolds (Lively’s husband) wrote a scene that can be considered key in the final cut of the film.

Although neither Lively nor Baldoni have touched on the subject publicly, some sources close to the actors have shared with Variety that the relationship “might not be salvageable,” however none of these sources have been able to confirm any real grievance between the two actors.

“I think there are better people for that. I think Blake Lively is ready to direct,” said actor and director Justin Baldoni when asked if he will direct the production.

Although the character that the American actor plays in the sequel is not that important and this could make it easier for his character not to be present, the reality is that both would need to come to an agreement, since Baldoni is the producer of the film.

It Ends With Us has managed to raise an impressive sum of 242 million dollars, and the investment for this production was 25 million dollars, this makes it the most successful film in the careers of Baldoni and Lively.
