Blailey takes advantage of the absence of the Moroccan duo and gives points to Ajaccio to Angers

Algeria international striker Youssef Blailey led his side Ajaccio to beat bottom club Angers 1-0 on Wednesday in the French Football League’s 16th round opener.

Blailey scored the winning goal from a penalty kick which he secured after a mistake by goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni in the 39th minute.

Ajaccio have moved away from the relegation zone to 14th place on 15 points, looking forward to the rest of the matches in this stage, especially leaders Paris Saint-Germain against Strasbourg, Auxerre against Monaco and Brest against Lyon, after the return of European league competitions after stopping holding the Qatar World Cup.

Ajaccio added to the injuries of their host, Angers, with 8 points, who were looking for just their third win this season, noting they played the match without their two Moroccan stars, Sofiane Boufal and Azzedine Onahi, who brought their country to the semi-finals of the soccer world championship in Qatar.
