We have already mentioned the possible exclusivity of Blade, but Alex Smith – a former employee of Sony Bend, the team responsible for Days Gone – commented on the topic. The creator no longer works for PlayStation, but he shared very interesting information.

TODAY, I say TODAY!!! December 8, 2023 BLADE is not an Xbox exclusive game.

despite what they say:
“Bethesda is independent” “Bethesda is a publisher”
“FTC, CMA ruling, etc.”

This was Marvel’s requirement!!!

According to the developer, Blade is part of recent agreements with third-party companies that have received licenses from Disney/Marvel – Electronic Arts has entered into cooperation and EA developers are developing two adventures (Iron Man, Black Panther).

In his opinion, “ALL Marvel games licensed from 2022 will have to be cross-platform” – Alex Smith confirmed that this was the message he received from Electronic Arts. This was apparently Marvel’s requirement for productions to be available on multiple platforms.

Alex Smith also touched on the topic of Wolverine – in this case, PlayStation was supposed to receive the licenses earlier (before the aforementioned 2022) and at that time, Marvel had not yet required the productions to be available on all platforms.

In the first message, the creator noted that currently (“today”) the title is to be released not only on Xbox and PC, but it is difficult to say what the situation will look like in a few years. Currently, Microsoft has not commented on this situation.
