Although less than a year has passed since its premiere, the Polish action game Blacktail is available on Steam at a very attractive price. This title received high ratings, among others: for an interesting plot, Slavic atmosphere, captivating graphics and good gameplay.

Blacktail was intriguing from the very beginning, and subsequent trailers and gameplays only increased the general interest in this production. When it was finally released, it turned out that the Krakow studio The Parasight had delivered a fresh, very nice game, offering an interesting plot – an iteration of the legend of Baba Yaga – and well-designed gameplay, with combat using a bow at the forefront.
Blacktail received high ratings from industry reviewers – regardless of the platform, the average score aggregated by the website Metacritic.com oscillates around 80 out of 100 – and players also liked it, as evidenced by the 83% percentage of positive opinions on Steam. December 15 will mark one year since the premiere of this first-person action game. If you missed it, now is a good opportunity to get it.

Players on Steam praise most of the elements of Blacktail, most often pointing to the dark, Slavic atmosphere of the game, the “magical” color palette – the colors are extremely vivid, making the environment look very nice and memorable – as well as the excellent soundtrack. Most people also liked the plot, which included more motifs from classic fairy tales than just the one about Baba Yaga. However, some people complain about the humor in the game – in their opinion it’s completely inappropriate – and others don’t really like the combat system.
If you are tempted to buy Blacktail, know that you have completed the adventure that awaits you occupies average 8.5 hours. However, I will add that, playing at a relatively normal pace and not collecting everything, I spent a dozen or so laps of the clock on my first playthrough of this title. Its “maxing out” should therefore take much more time.
