Blackmagic Unveils New Micro Color Panel: Compact and Affordable

New Micro Color Panel by Blackmagic Design

Blackmagic Design, a renowned technology company, has introduced its latest product, the Micro Color Panel. This compact and affordable color panel aims to offer a professional grading experience to video editors in a more portable package. With its impressive features and functionality, the Micro Color Panel is set to revolutionize the video editing industry.

Compact Design and Affordable Pricing

Measuring at 14.33 inches by 7.18 inches, the Micro Color Panel has a size comparable to a computer keyboard. This smaller size makes it highly portable while ensuring a comfortable editing experience. Moreover, Blackmagic has priced the Micro Color Panel significantly lower than its other color panel offerings. With the next model, the Mini Panel, priced at over $2,000, the Micro Color Panel becomes an attractive option for budget-conscious professionals.

Impressive Features

The Micro Color Panel comes equipped with three weighted trackballs, allowing for precise color adjustments. Additionally, it features 12 control knobs that enable adjustments for shadows, highlights, contrast, and mid-tones. Blackmagic has designed the Micro Color Panel with editors in mind, with many controls in familiar positions to ensure a seamless transition for professionals accustomed to larger panels.

Affordable Alternative

Compared to Blackmagic’s Micro Panel, priced at $895, the Micro Color Panel offers similar features at a more affordable price point. Both panels feature three weighted trackballs and 12 control knobs, but the new Micro Color Panel also has the advantage of being compatible with iPads. It forgoes the USB-C connectivity of its predecessor, making it an appealing choice for those who value portability and versatility.

Localization and Accessibility

Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, expressed the company’s dedication to user experience. He announced the availability of localized versions of the Micro Color Panel to cater to customers worldwide, further enhancing accessibility and ease of use. The panel will be available in various languages, eliminating the need for users to learn another language to utilize its full potential.

Experience the Micro Color Panel

Blackmagic will be showcasing the new Micro Color Panel at the NAB 2024 exhibition. Visitors to the show, held at booth #SL5005, will have an opportunity to experience this groundbreaking product firsthand and witness its capabilities in action.
