Black record of Covid-19 victims in Moscow and St. Petersburg

Russian authorities announced today a record number of deaths among those infected with Covid-19 for the day in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This is a sign that the epidemic situation in the country affected by the Delta option is deteriorating, AFP reported.

According to official data, 124 deaths have been registered in Moscow in the last 24 hours, and 110 in St. Petersburg. This exceeds the record values ​​reached in both cities over the weekend.

So far, the victims of the coronavirus in Moscow are a total of 22,210, according to data from the operational headquarters for the fight against the infection, quoted by TASS. The active cases in the city to date are 175,682 – the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of deaths from KOVID-19 in the whole of Russia has increased during the last 24 hours by 611 and amounts to 133 893. The conditional mortality is 2.45 percent. The new infected since yesterday in the federation are 21,650, and the total established number of cases so far – 5,472,941. The active cases in the country are 369,708.

The number of healed in Russia has increased over the past 24 hours by 12,626 and they are now 4,969,340 – 90.8 percent of all registered infected.
