There is still more than a week to go until Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is released in Indonesia, but a lot has been said about the film’s post-credits scene that marks the end of Phase 4 in the MCU.
Marvel is in fact famous for its post-credits scenes that always bring surprises and make fans impatient for the next movie. Sometimes there are also storylines involving events in the next movie or characters that will appear, like in Thor: Love and Thunder which introduced Hercules to the MCU.
So what is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever post-credits?
Marvel Studios are known for their pretty high standards with post-credits and on average feature more than one scene. However, it is quite surprising that Black Panther 2 has become a differentiator after several reviews from critics and the media.
After the world premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, several media and film critics wrote rather sweet praise for the film’s post-credits. CineXpress, represented by Fico Cangiano, wrote that the scene was really touching.
“Black Panther is awesome! Coogler delivers a soulful and jaw-dropping sequel that packs an emotional punch and effectively explores relevant world themes. A beautiful tribute to Boseman’s legacy. Letitia and Tenoch are awesome and the title scene of tail is really moving, “he said he wrote.
Meanwhile, Rotten Tomatoes’ Orlando Maldonado said the film has a very touching credit rating.
“Wakanda Forever has ONE end credits scene, that’s all, but very sweet,” he wrote.
Considering the emotion described by the critics, it could be just another tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman or perhaps another touching moment in Wakanda. There were also many theories about T’Challa’s son revealed in this story, which could potentially be what happened in the post-credits sequence.
However, there’s also the slightest chance that Marvel won’t give everything to the critics and opt to keep a bigger reveal for the rest of the world when the film actually comes out, as it already did in The Avengers.
Especially with Black Panther 2 ending Phase 4, Marvel may decide to go that route to bring something that has ravaged the internet when it’s shared by critics across the board. Whether this is anything like the Doctor Doom reveal or some other major event is a mystery, but it’s one that fans will want to know the answer to.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will premiere on November 9, 2022 in all cinemas across the country.
