In “Black Panther”, did you catch which character from the Marvel Universe Shuri is referring to? For that, you have to have seen “Captain America: Civil War”, because in the MCU, everything is linked!
Black Panther Even though it was released two years after Captain America: Civil War, it still has the luxury of referring to it and more precisely, to one of its post-generic scenes. The magic of the connected world, Marvel Cinematic Universe style. Decryption.
In Black PantherCIA agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) intervenes between a burst of automatic weapons fired by Erik Killmonger and thus protects Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o). Unfortunately for him, in doing so, he gets a fatal wound and the only way to cure him is to treat him very quickly.

Another little white that will have to be repaired!
This replica of Shuri upon arrival at his laboratory in Ross hurt, echoes the post-credits scene of Captain America: Civil War in which we saw Bucky (then the assassin “Winter Soldier”) come to Wakanda to be put out of harm’s way and therefore, to seek treatment.

All this is answered especially since in the post-credits scene of Black Panther, we see Bucky recovering in Wakanda, looking more serene. The series Falcon and the Winter Soldier returns moreover on the passage of the character in African soil, and shows that his treatment was more painful than one could imagine.
In short, Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) finds herself taking care of two Whites – of course, they are very fragile and / or unable to take care of themselves without her help. A reminder that the Wakandans do not need help and are even scientifically more advanced than other peoples of the world.
Appreciated by Marvel fans, Shuri will return in Black Panther 2, perhaps with an even reinforced role after the unexpected death of Chadwick Boseman before the filming of this sequel. The film is being rewritten and preparing to shoot, announcements are therefore to come …
