American actor Chadwick Boseman, known for the superhero film “Black Panther” from 2018, has died of colon cancer. His family announced this in a statement. He turned 43 years old.

Boseman has never publicly spoken about his illness. Chadwick would have been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016. But Chadwick chose to keep working. So he turned his most famous roles while undergoing cancer treatments. “It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” said a statement posted on Boseman’s social media accounts. “He died in his house, with his wife and family by his side.”
“Terrible,” responded Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige. “He was our T’Challa. Every time he came on set he radiated pure pleasure and charisma. He was smart, friendly and engaging like the people he played and the iconic roles he played. He will now be placed next to them and remain an icon himself. ”
The Disney CEO also shared his condolences.
Boseman also played Jackie Robinson in the movie “42” (2013) and played James Brown in “Get on Up” (2014).
