40-year-old Zhou Alberto Silveir Freitas was beaten by security guards at the Carrefour store. The event was filmed and the video was published on the Internet. The video shows one guard hitting him in the head while the other holds him there. Protests have been going on for several days after what happened in Porto Alegre. On Monday, protesters blocked the street at the Carrefour store. Some protesters harassed police with rocks and firecrackers, to which police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets, AFP journalists reported.
