On Black Friday, this year on November 27, many shops stunt with high discounts. Klarna expects spending on the day to more than double compared to last year, partly due to the corona pandemic.
Almost 30 percent of online shoppers indicate that they will do part of their Santa Claus shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. A slightly larger percentage wait until the bargain feast to make a planned large purchase such as a television or a laptop.

The bargain days are especially popular with young people. Of the respondents, many more young people than older people have already made a purchase on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. This is almost 80 percent of young people between 18 and 24 years old. This is 25 percent for buyers older than 55 years.
Klarna expects that older people will also do much more online shopping on Black Friday this year. This is due to the corona pandemic, but also because the phenomenon is known to more and more people.
