Huawei’s Apple Watch-like rectangular clock is getting better. Bigger screen, Bluetooth calls: The Watch Fit 2 offers a lot for half the price of its Californian competitor. At the cost of some limitations, though.
Simple and pleasant to use, the Huawei Watch Fit 2 offers good overall performance. Without excelling in one area in particular, he turns out to be homogeneous and also quite capable when it comes to practicing sports – if you don’t expect extreme precision from him. Too bad its software ecosystem is no longer complete.
Highlights
- Clearly legible rectangular AMOLED screen.
- Light.
- Heart rate monitoring generally satisfactory.
- Good battery life and fast charging.
- Make calls via Bluetooth.
Weaknesses
- Few compatible apps.
- Limited interactions with third-party services (music streaming, Strava, etc.).
- Voice assistant only compatible with Huawei smartphones.
NB: The price drop reported is calculated by comparing the day’s lowest price with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with safety rules to exclude prices from shops whose VAT policy does not is clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of Chinese imports).
An alternative
The Watch GT 2 46mm is a frustrating watch. It offers clearly ideal autonomy – about a week without Always-on – it ensures good heart rate monitoring in all circumstances and benefits from quality finishes. Unfortunately, despite its strengths, it incorporates a less than satisfactory operating system. It is therefore less comfortable than some competitors.
