Following Donald Trump’s victory in the US election, several black men and women, including students and even schoolchildren, received racist text messages with references to slavery.

The messages, sent anonymously, were reported in several states, including New York, Alabama, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

It is not yet known who sent the messages, and there is no complete list of the places from which they were sent.
