Kozhikode: In the first phase of preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has given priority to six constituencies in Kerala. Rumors are also strong that a national leader from outside the state will contest in Kerala. The state president K. Surendran had stated that Suresh Gopi himself will be made a candidate in Thrissur, which is the most discussed constituency. The BJP leadership believes that the popularity of Suresh Gopiku, who has been active in Thrissur since the last election, has increased due to his interaction with the people.

The names of Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Rajeev Chandrasekhar are active in Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s name is also mentioned in Palakkad. The RSS has proposed to give the seat to Kummanam Rajasekharan, who returned from the post of governor, and contest from Pathanamthitta.
