BJP Denies Seats to Seven Union Ministers for Rajya Sabha Vacancies

New Delhi: When the candidates were announced for the 56 Rajya Sabha seats that are vacant, seven Union Ministers were denied seats by the BJP. V. Muralidharan and Rajeev Chandrasekhar will be included in the list of those excluded. Some of those excluded will contest the Lok Sabha elections. Others will be transferred to the organizational arena.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, Fisheries Minister Parshotham Rupala and Narayan Rane are Union Ministers who did not get another chance to the Rajya Sabha. These are Rajya Sabha members who will complete their term in April.

Muralidharan is a member of Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra and Rajeev Chandrasekhar from Karnataka. Rajeev Chandrasekhar is in the list of those being considered for the Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Meanwhile in Attingal V. Mural writing has started for Muralidharan.

Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav has been given another chance. It is considered as recognition for the excellent management of the department. An attempt is being made to bring Ashwini Vaishnav to Rajya Sabha from Odisha with the support of Biju Janata Dal.
