Björn Werner played for the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL from 2013 to 2015. Starting this season, he will take on the role of official team ambassador in Germany and Austria. “Everyone in Germany knows how much my heart beats for American football,” explains Werner.
After his active time as a football player, Werner made a name for himself as a TV commentator for American football in Europe. He is currently an NFL expert for RTL in Germany. Werner also runs a German-language NFL podcast called “Football Bromance”.

As the new team ambassador, he promotes the “Colts” brand in German-speaking countries and represents the team at public appearances. “Bromance Sports” is also entering into a partnership with the Indianapolis Colts to create individual digital content.
“We not only convey the great tradition and history of the Colts in Germany and Europe, but also develop our sport further to give more people around the world the opportunity to learn and practice this sport,” says Werner.
The Colts announced their further expansion plans after being accepted into the NFL’s Global Markets Program (GMP) last March. Launched in 2022, the GMP allows NFL clubs access to international markets to expand the NFL fan base outside the United States.
