Bjørn Kjos Purchases Airline Lufttransport AS

Bjørn Kjos becomes owner of the airline Lufttransport AS, according to Dagbladet.

“We would like to welcome Bjørn Kjos, who will once again be part of Lufttransport, as the new owner of the Lufttransport group”, writes CEO of the company, Erlend H. Olsen, in a message.

Former Norwegian CEO Bjørn Kjos sold Lufttransport to Norsk Helikopter in 2005. The company operates cargo flights, passenger transport, rescue helicopter services and ambulance flights in Norway.

During last year, Kjos collected a huge profit. This is shown in the accounts of HBK Holding. Under “other financial income”, the company booked a gain of NOK 291 million. This meant that the Kjos company exited 2022 with a profit of NOK 278.1 million.

At the beginning of 2022, HBK Holding was 87.8 percent owned by Observatoriet Invest, which is the Kjos family’s investment company. In addition, the Bjørn Kise company Brumm held 10.7 percent of the HBK Holding shares.
