The lack of sleep made it worse

During the recording, his claustrophobia got in the way.

The fear of cramped spaces meant that Björn Kjellman could not sleep in the cabins together with the other participants, but was forced to spend the nights on deck. The lack of sleep during the trip made it harder for him to deal with the phobia.

– I thought that I am usually quite good at treating myself. But now you slept so badly because you worked in short shifts and slept in between, he says and continues:

– So it got a bit dizzying. It became a bit difficult for me to take.

“Was so worth it”

Do you have problems with claustrophobia in general too?

– Yes, but I don’t usually get into a boat at sea.

Despite the problems, Björn Kjellman does not regret accepting the program.

– There was a lot that was hard on the road, but also a lot that was fun. But the gist of it was that it was so worth it.

“Over the Atlantic” premieres Tuesday, February 6 at 9 p.m. on Kanal 5.
